Sultan Shams-ud-Din Muzaffar Shah II, also known as Sultan Muzzafar Shah II,  reigned over Gujarat from 1511 to 1526. He exchanged diplomatic gifts with the Portuguese, including Ganda, the Rhinoceros.

We are still in search of a depiction of Sultan Muzzafar Shah II. This image shows Bahadur Shah, Muzzafar Shah II’s son and successor, dying at the hands of the Portuguese during negotiations onboard a ship.
